65859 Mädler (provisional designation: 1997 GF42) is an outer main-belt minor planet. It was discovered by Eric Walter Elst at the La Silla Observatory in Chile on April 9 1997. It is named after Johann Heinrich von Mädler a German astronomer of the 19th century.
