5505 Rundetaarn (1986 VD1) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on November 6 1986 by P. Jensen at Brorfelde. Orbital period of 1777.6666407 days (4.87 years).It is named for the tower Rundetårn (Round Tower) located in Copenhagen. The tower also served as an astronomical observatory.
