54 Arietis is the Flamsteed designation for a star in the northern constellation of Aries. It has an apparent visual magnitude of 6.26. Based upon an annual parallax shift of 4.26 ± 0.73 mas it is approximately 766 light-years (235 parsecs) distant from Earth. The brightness of the star is diminished by 0.15 in magnitude from extinction caused by interstellar gas and dust. This is a red giant star with a stellar classification of M0 III and is evolving along the asymptotic giant branch.
