54522 Menaechmus (provisional designation: 2000 QS1) is a main-belt minor planet. It was discovered by Stefano Sposetti at the Osservatorio Astronomico di Gnosca in Gnosca Switzerland on August 23 2000. It is named after Menaechmus a Greek mathematician and geometer of the 4th century BC.
