4924 Hiltner (1981 EQ40) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on March 2 1981 by Bus S. J. at Siding Spring in the course of the UK Schmidt-Caltech Asteroid Survey.Named in memory of William Albert Hiltner by suggestions of R. P. Binzel.
