4843 Mégantic is a main belt asteroid with an orbital period of 1982.1094798 days (5.43 years). It has a diameter of about 26.02 kilometres (16 mi) from observations with the IRAS infrared space telescope during the 1980s.The asteroid was discovered on February 28 1990.It is named for Mont Mégantic Observatory which opened in 1978 in Canada.
