4783 Wasson (1983 AH1) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on January 12 1983 by C. S. Shoemaker and E. M. Shoemaker at Palomar Observatory. The asteroid was named after John Wasson a professor and researcher of cosmological chemistry at UCLA.
