4768 Hartley (1988 PH1) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on August 11 1988 by Noymer A. J. at Siding Spring. It was named in honour of Malcolm Hartley deputy astronomer of the U.K. Schmidt telescope at Siding Spring with which this minor planet was discovered.
