42295 Teresateng (provisional designation: 2001 UG17) is a main-belt minor planet. It was discovered by William Kwong Yu Yeung at the Desert Eagle Observatory near Benson Arizona on October 23 2001. It is named for Teresa Teng a Taiwanese pop music singer of the 20th century.
