4176 Sudek (1987 DS) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on February 24 1987 by Antonín Mrkos at Klet. It is named after the Czech photographer Josef Sudek (1896-1976).On 21 January 2014 asteroid Sudek at magnitude 15.5 occulted the star 2UCAC 39655315 at magnitude 11.8. This event was visible over parts of Japan and China.
