4-Vinylcyclohexene is an organic compound formed when 13-butadiene dimerizes in a Diels-Alder reaction. It is found in industrial processes involving 13-butadiene including the manufacture of lauric acid. The 4-vinylcyclohexene formed may be sold as-is or converted to 4-vinylcyclohexene diepoxide.
