The 3rd World Science Fiction Convention (Worldcon) was Denvention I which was held July 4–6 1941 at the Shirley-Savoy Hotel in Denver USA. This was the last Worldcon before there was a break in the annual tradition due to World War II. The next Worldcon was held in 1946.The guest of honor at the third Worldcon was Robert A. Heinlein who gave a speech entitled The Discovery of the Future. Olon F. Wiggins served as convention chairman. Attendance was 90 members.
