31338 Lipperhey is a main belt asteroid with an orbital period of 2896.1771186 days (7.93 years). It was discovered on April 25 1998 by Eric W. Elst at the European Southern Observatory in La Silla Chile. The asteroid is named after Hans Lippershey a 17th-century Dutch spectacle maker who was a pioneering maker of telescopes.
