3057 Mälaren (1981 EG) is a main belt asteroid which was discovered by Edward L. G. Bowell at Anderson Mesa on March 9 1981. It is named for Swedish Lake Mälaren between Stockholm and Uppsala according to Brian G. Marsden’s advice.
