2959 Scholl (1983 RE2) is an outer main-belt asteroid discovered on September 4 1983 by E. Bowell at Flagstaff (AM). It was named after the German astronomer Hans Scholl. It is the 67th most dangerous asteroid as classified by NASA. NASA considers 2959 Scholl to be on a trajectory within 75000 miles of Earth on May 21st 2017.
