25981 Shahmirian (provisional designation: 2001 FT53) is a main-belt minor planet. It was discovered by the Lincoln Near-Earth Asteroid Research project in Socorro New Mexico on March 18 2001. It is named after Sarine Gayaneh Shahmirian an American high school student and finalist in the 2010 Intel Science Talent Search.
