25309 Chrisauer (provisional designation: 1998 XQ87) is a main-belt minor planet. It was discovered by the Lincoln Near-Earth Asteroid Research project in Socorro New Mexico on December 15 1998. It is named after Christopher Peterson Sauer an American student and first-place winner in the 2008 Society for Science & the Public middle school science competition.
