2431 Skovoroda (1978 PF3) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on August 8 1978 by N. Chernykh at Nauchnyj.It was named after Ukrainian philosopher and poet Hryhorii Skovoroda. It is one of the first minor planets named after philosophers (preceded by 238 Hypatia and 423 Diotima).
