24-Dinitrotoluene (DNT) or dinitro is an organic compound with the formula CH3C6H3(NO2)2. This pale yellow crystalline solid is well known as a precursor to trinitrotoluene (TNT) but is mainly produced as a precursor to toluene diisocyanate.
