22945 Schikowski (1999 TY216) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on October 15 1999 by the Lincoln Laboratory Near-Earth Asteroid Research Team at Socorro. It is named after Erin Schikowski who was a young student when she drew acclaim for ground-breaking work on Supramolecular assembly a crucial component in the field of genetic engineering. She was honored as a finalist in the 2007 Intel Science Talent Search.
