The season began at the Daytona International Speedway with the Sprint Unlimited followed by the Daytona 500. The season will end with the Ford EcoBoost 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Chevrolet entered the season as the reigning Manufacturers’ Champions while Jimmie Johnson is the defending Drivers’ Champion. This season is the final year of broadcasting for both ESPN and TNT.
