The 94th Emperor’s Cup (第94回天皇杯全日本サッカー選手権大会) will be the regular edition of the annual Japanese national cup tournament.It will be the first tournament since the 47th edition held in January 1968 that the final match will not be held on 1 January in the following year but will be moved up to 13 December 2014 (could be rescheduled to 23 December if one of the clubs advance to the final would also take part in the 2014 FIFA Club World Cup) due to 2015 AFC Asian Cup scheduled to be held from 9 January 2015.Also it will be the first tournament since the 46th edition which final was held at Komazawa Olympic Park Stadium in Tokyo in 15 January 1967 that the final match will not be held at National Stadium in Tokyo due to major renovations of the National Stadium scheduled in preparation for 2020 Summer Olympics.
