The 2013 season was Molde’s sixth consecutive year in Tippeligaen and their 35th season in the top flight of Norwegian football. It was Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s third season as the club’s manager. Molde were the defending champions in Tippeligaen but lost their first four matches in the league and collected six points in the first ten games. The team did however turn the bad form and finished the season in sixth place.
