The 2013–14 CSKA season is the 22nd successive season that the club will play in the Russian Premier League the highest tier of association football in Russia. They will defend their Russian Premier League and Russian Cup titles as well as entering the UEFA Champions League at the group stage. Their season started on 12 July when they faced Zenit St. Petersburg in the 2013 Super Cup winning 3 – 0.
