The 2013–14 season is Lokomotiv Moscow’s 12th season in the Russian Premier League and their 22nd consecutive season in the top-flight of the Russian football championship since the dissolution of the Soviet Union.This is Leonid Kuchuk’s first season in charge after taking over from Slaven Bilic who was sacked at the end of the previous season following Lokomotiv’s worst ever performance in the Russian Premier League since the dissolution of the Soviet Union.
