The 2012 MTV EMAs (also known as the MTV Europe Music Awards) was held in Frankfurt Germany hosted by Heidi Klum on 11 November 2012. This was the fifth time that Germany and the second time that Frankfurt was the host city of the EMAs.On 17 September the nominees were announced.
