The 2012–13 Iowa State Cyclones men’s basketball team represented Iowa State University in the 2012–13 NCAA Division I men’s basketball season. Their head coach Fred Hoiberg was in his third season as a head coach. The team played its home games at Hilton Coliseum in Ames Iowa and were members of the Big 12 Conference. They finished the season with 23–12 overall 11–7 in Big 12 play to finish in fourth place.
