The 2011 Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team represented the University of Notre Dame in the 2011 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Fighting Irish were led by second year head coach Brian Kelly and played their home games at Notre Dame Stadium. They compete as an independent. They finished the season 8–5. They were invited to the Champs Sports Bowl where they were defeated by Florida State 18-14.
