The 2011–12 season was French football club Paris Saint-Germain’s 39th professional season their 39th season in Ligue 1 and their 38th consecutive season in French top-flight. PSG was managed by Antoine Kombouaré until he left the club by mutual consent during the winter break. He was replaced by Carlo Ancelotti. Carlo Ancelotti’s reported annual salary of between €6m and €7m made him the best-paid manager in French football history.
