The 2009 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational was a golf tournament that was contested from August 6–9 2009 over the South Course at Firestone Country Club in Akron Ohio. It was the eleventh WGC-Bridgestone Invitational tournament and the third of four World Golf Championships events held in 2009.World number 1 Tiger Woods won the tournament and claimed his sixteenth World Golf Championships title which was his seventh Invitational title.
