The 2009 Texas Longhorn football team (variously Texas or UT or the Horns) represented the University of Texas at Austin in the 2009 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The team was coached by Mack Brown who has a contract lasting through the 2016 season. Texas played their home games in Darrell K Royal – Texas Memorial Stadium.The Longhorns finished the season 13–1 and 8–0 in Big 12 play.
