The 2009 Savannah State Tigers football team represented Savannah State University in American football. The Tigers were members of the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision as an independent. This was the second season under the guidance of head coach Robert Robby Wells.The Tigers entered the 2009 season seeking its first winning season since joining Division I-AA in 2000 but ended the season with a 2–8 record.
