The 2009 Ohio State Buckeyes football team competed in football on behalf of The Ohio State University for the 2009 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Buckeyes were coached by Jim Tressel and played their home games in Ohio Stadium in Columbus Ohio. They finished with a record of 11–2 (7–1 Big Ten) and won the Big Ten championship. They represented the Big Ten in the 2010 Rose Bowl which they won 26–17 over Pac-10 champion Oregon.
