The 2009–10 Michigan State Spartans men’s basketball team represented Michigan State University in the 2009–10 NCAA Division I men’s basketball season. Their head coach was Tom Izzo who was in his 15th year. The team played their home games at the Breslin Center in East Lansing MI and are members of the Big Ten Conference. The Spartans were ranked #2 in the pre-season Coaches Poll.They finished the season 28–9 and 14–4 in Big Ten play to capture a share of the Big Ten regular season title.
