The 2009–2010 season was the 106th year of Beşiktaş JK’s existence. Beşiktaş JK played its 50th season in the Turkish Super League. The club also played in the Turkish Cup and the UEFA Champions League. Beşiktaş is the defending champion of the Super League and the Turkish Cup. The club also participated in the Peace Cup finishing second in their group behind Porto and ahead of Lyon. The first transfer of the January window was goalkeeper Ramazan Özcan.
