The 2008 Wimbledon Championships was a tennis tournament played on grass courts. It was the 122nd edition of the Wimbledon Championships and the third Grand Slam event of the year. It took place at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon London England United Kingdom from 23 June to 6 July 2008.Spanish player Rafael Nadal won the first Wimbledon title of his career; the first Grand Slam tournament he had won other than the French Open.
