ACF Fiorentina had a fantastic season points-wise scoring just a couple of points less than second-positioned Roma but due to the 15 deducted points to its involvement in Calciopoli it missed out on the Champions League and had to settle for 6th and a position in the 2007-08 UEFA Cup. New signing Adrian Mutu was able to compensate for Luca Toni not having such a spectacular season as the one before both players netting 16 goals.
