The 2004 LSU Tigers football team represented Louisiana State University in the college football season of 2004–2005. Coached by Nick Saban in his last season at LSU the Tigers played their home games at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge Louisiana. The team finished with a 9–3 record and an appearance in the Capital One Bowl against Iowa. Iowa won the bowl game on a last second hail mary pass for a touchdown.
