The 2002 Pacific Life Open was a tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It was the 27th edition of the Indian Wells Masters and was part of the Tennis Masters Series of the 2002 ATP Tour and of Tier I of the 2002 WTA Tour. Both the men’s and women’s events took place at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden in Indian Wells California in the United States from March 6 through March 17 2002.
