The 2002 Australian Drivers’ Championship was a CAMS sanctioned national motor racing title for drivers of Formula Holden racing cars with the 2002 CAMS Gold Star awarded to the winning driver.The championship was contested over a six round series with two races per round: Round 1 Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit Victoria 14 April 2002 Round 2 Eastern Creek Raceway New South Wales 27 April 2002 Round 3 Hidden Valley Raceway Northern Territory 19 May 2002 Round 4 Oran Park Grand Prix Circuit New South Wales 16 June 2002 Round 5 Mallala Motor Sport Park South Australia 4 August 2002 Round 6 Winton Motor Raceway Victoria 18 August 2002Championship points were awarded on a 20-15-12-10-8-6-4-3-2-1 basis to the first ten finishers in each race.
