In enzymology a 2-aminobenzenesulfonate 23-dioxygenase (EC 1.14.12.14) is an enzyme that catalyzes the chemical reaction2-aminobenzenesulfonate + NADH + H+ + O2 23-dihydroxybenzenesulfonate + NH3 + NAD+The 4 substrates of this enzyme are 2-aminobenzenesulfonate NADH H+ and O2 whereas its 3 products are 23-dihydroxybenzenesulfonate NH3 and NAD+.This enzyme belongs to the family of oxidoreductases specifically those acting on paired donors with O2 as oxidant and incorporation or reduction of oxygen.
