The 1989 Italian Open was a tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts at the Foro Italico in Rome in Italy that was part of the 1989 Nabisco Grand Prix and of Tier II of the 1989 WTA Tour. The men’s tournament was held from May 15 through May 21 1989 while the women’s tournament was played from May 8 through May 14 1989.
