The 1988 Spanish Open was a tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts at the Real Club de Tenis Barcelona in Barcelona in Spain and was part of Tier V of the 1988 WTA Tour. It was the seventh edition of the tournament and was held from April 25 through May 1 1988.
