S.S. Lazio were unable to hang onto its Serie A spot being relegated by a clear margin. Despite having offensive players such as Bruno Giordano and Michael Laudrup at its disposal Lazio struggled when it came to goalscoring resulting in a mere two victories in the entire league season.
