The 1981 Michigan Wolverines football team represented the University of Michigan in the 1981 NCAA Division I-A football season. The team’s head coach was Bo Schembechler. The Wolverines played their home games at Michigan Stadium.The September 19 25–7 victory over top-ranked Notre Dame was one of the largest margins of victory over a #1 ranked team ever.
