The 1981–82 Georgetown Hoyas men’s basketball team represented Georgetown University in the 1981–82 NCAA Division I basketball season. John Thompson Jr. coached them in his 10th season as head coach. It was the first season in which they played their home games at the Capital Centre in Landover Maryland except for five games at McDonough Gymnasium on the Georgetown campus in Washington D.C.
