The 1971 European Cup Final was a football match held at Wembley Stadium London on 2 June 1971 that saw Ajax of the Netherlands defeat Panathinaikos of Greece 2–0. An incredible comeback in the second leg of their semi-final against Red Star Belgrade meant Panathinaikos became the first Greek side to reach a European Cup Final.
