The 6th Cannes Film Festival was held between April 15–29 1953. The Grand Prize of the Festival went to the The Wages of Fear by Henri-Georges Clouzot. The festival opened with Horizons sans fin by Jean Dréville.Walt Disney was honored at the festival and received the title of Legion of Honor.
