The 1942 Kansas State Wildcats football team represented Kansas State University in the college football season of 1942. The team’s head football coach was Ward Haylett in his first year at the helm of the Wildcats. The Wildcats played their home games in Memorial Stadium. The Wildcats finished the season with a 3-8 record with a 2-3 record in conference play. They finished in fourth place in the Big 6. The Wildcats scored 79 points and gave up 334 points.
