The 1936 Pittsburgh Pirates season was the team’s 4th season as a professional sports franchise and as a member of the National Football League (NFL). It was the second season under head coach Joe Bach; this was his last season as head coach until the 1952–53 season. This was the first season that the Pirates finished with a .500 record at 6–6 and finished 2nd in the Eastern division their highest placement in team history. The team did not qualify for the NFL Championship game.
